1. Sushmita Sen
At 18, Sushmita Sen wrote history by becoming the first person on the list of Miss Universe winners from India. Born on 19 November 1975 in a Bengali family in Hyderabad, she also won the Femina Miss India title in 1994.
After that, Sushmita was crowned Miss Universe in the same year. Evidently, she got a big boost due to this and it kickstarted her journey in Bollywood.

3. Harnaaz Sandhu

And her family’s support helped her win many titles before becoming the third Indian to win the Miss Universe title. In 2021, Harnaaz brought the glory of the Miss Universe crown back to India.
Earlier, the Punjabi girl won many beauty pageants including Femina Miss India Punjab 2019 and Miss Diva Universe 2021. As a result, she got a boost in her popularity and it awarded her a chance to act in the movies, Yaara Diyan Poo Baran” and “Bai Ji Kuttange.”
In a reply to a question by jury, she gave a winning answer by asking the youth to preserve their uniqueness. During the final, Harnaaz paid tribute to Lara Dutta and Sushmita Sen by wearing a gown with their pictures on it.
To this, both Lara and Sushita praised her for her accomplishment and kind gestures. And both Lara and Sushmita responded to Sandhu’s gown by calling it a beautiful tribute.
